About the role#
Wohlsen Construction Company is hiring a Construction Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid internship provides practical experience in commercial construction management. You will work on-site to support project teams with administrative tasks, documentation, and daily management activities.
What you'll do#
- Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and requests for information.
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
- Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
- Maintain accurate project files and logs.
- Support Project Managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and day-to-day project management tasks.
- Participate in site walks, safety inspections, and team meetings.
- Coordinate with trade and design partners under the direction of the project team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or Architectural Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to assigned jobsites.
- Strong written communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or construction scheduling software is a plus.
