About the role#
Wohlsen Construction Company is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time internship provides administrative and coordination support to the project team. You will gain practical experience in commercial construction management while working on-site in Baltimore, Maryland.
What you'll do#
- Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, meeting minutes, correspondence, and communications.
- Maintain accurate project files and logs, including permits, change orders, and closeout documentation.
- Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
- Support Project Managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and daily management tasks.
- Participate in site walks, safety inspections, quality observations, and team meetings.
- Coordinate with trade partners, design partners, and internal team members.
- Travel to project jobsites and regional offices as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written communication, organization, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to assigned jobsites.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or scheduling software is a plus.

- This is a paid internship. Please note that sponsorship is not available for this position. Physical requirements include job site visits, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing stairs or ladders.
