    About the role#

    WoodmenLife is looking for a Summer 2027 intern to join the Independent Distribution team in Omaha. This 10-week program provides hands-on experience in insurance products, distribution management, and sales operations. You will support the team by handling administrative processes and reporting that help drive business growth.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in internship cohort activities, leadership sessions, and professional development opportunities.
    • Monitor departmental shared mailboxes and assist with distributor inquiries.
    • Prepare and deliver insurance product quotes for partners.
    • Manage sales incentive and recognition programs.
    • Compile, analyze, and distribute production reports.
    • Support debt management and commission-related administrative tasks.
    • Maintain records and documentation for sales and distribution operations.
    • Research and analyze sales performance trends and business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency.
    • Use AI technologies to streamline workflows and coach teams on ethical AI use.
    • Present a capstone project summarizing your accomplishments and learnings.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Economics, or a related field.
    • Current status as a rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Familiarity with AI-powered work tools and an understanding of responsible AI use, including data privacy and ethics.
    • Ability to craft effective prompts for generative AI tools.
    • Demonstrated commitment to providing attentive and resourceful customer service.
    • Interest in sales, distribution management, and the insurance industry.

    • This is a paid, full-time internship position.
