About the role#
As an actuarial intern in our Life division, you will join a team focused on complex projects including product development, financial modeling, risk management, and mergers and acquisitions. You will gain exposure to insurance operations while working alongside credentialed actuaries to solve practical business problems for our clients.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the pricing, valuation, and development of insurance products.
- Develop financial projections of clients’ insurance business.
- Document, review, and present your own work.
- Assist in creating detailed project plans and monitor progress against deadlines and budget.
- Build strong relationships internally and with client representatives.
- Follow the firm’s Excellence guidelines.
- Participate in learning and development opportunities while maintaining progress toward actuarial credentials.
What you'll need#
- Completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative field within the next year.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Previous completion of a Summer 2026 internship with WTW.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with additional programming skills preferred.
- Work or extracurricular experience demonstrating technical, client service, or leadership skills, with actuarial internship experience preferred.
- Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
