    About the role#

    As a Maps Intern, you will contribute to the stack that powers our autonomous delivery systems. You will build and own parts of the path planning services used to generate routes for our vehicles. Your work will involve data generation, transformation, and access pipelines to help us scale operations to new regions.

    What you'll do#

    • Build services that generate routes and spatial planning artifacts.
    • Use tools to visualize and evaluate geospatial features that impact serviceability.
    • Collaborate with teams to make spatial data accessible instantaneously anywhere in the world.
    • Improve planning algorithms to ensure routing is fast, safe, and reliable.

    What you'll need#

    • Completion of at least the second year of undergraduate studies. Masters and PhD students are also eligible.
    • Strong analytical and technical problem solving skills.
    • Deep understanding of algorithmic optimization.
    • Proficient coding and programming skills.
    • Understanding of automated testing practices.
    • Preferred experience supporting or developing novel algorithmic research or working with spatial data.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, on-site position based in South San Francisco, California.
    • The internship term is Winter 2027.
    • This position is paid.
