About the role#
The Corporate Security & Resilience Intern joins the Enterprise Technology & Security Summer Internship Program. This 10-week summer role provides hands-on experience within the banking industry. You will work with teams focused on cybersecurity, security engineering, and identity and access management. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our headquarters.
What you'll do#
- Assist with initiatives to improve processes and implement efficiencies across security teams.
- Support security analytics, automation, and resilience efforts, including security monitoring and data usage.
- Help with business continuity and recovery planning activities.
- Support user access management practices to ensure appropriate system and data access.
- Assist with proactive security monitoring, incident response readiness, and operational reporting for critical banking applications.
- Research cybersecurity regulations and industry frameworks to support informed decision-making.
- Support risk assessments, control reviews, internal audits, and regulatory examinations.
- Partner with technology, compliance, legal, and business resilience teams.
- Manage project documentation, meeting notes, status reporting, and control evidence collection.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, or a similar field.
- Expected graduation date of May 2028 with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Successfully complete a video interview assessment within 4 days of receiving the link.
- Basic knowledge of Information Security or business controls.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience supporting reporting, documentation, or presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively.
- Internship, academic project, volunteer, or leadership experience in cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, or technology.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
- Strong analytical, research, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, and MacOS operating systems.
- Permanent work authorization in the United States (sponsorship is not available).
Location & details#
- Location: Johnston, Rhode Island.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm (40 hours per week).
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
