About the role#
As a Production Scheduling Intern, you will support the production planning team by tracking progress, maintaining accurate data, and identifying risks to production commitments. You will ensure that materials, labor, and engineering information align to support efficient operations and on-time delivery. This role provides hands-on experience in manufacturing planning and scheduling while working directly with production teams.
What you'll do#
- Review upcoming production jobs to identify issues with materials, labor, engineering releases, bills of materials, or routings.
- Walk the production floor to gather updates on job status and monitor progress.
- Maintain scheduling spreadsheets, ERP system data, trackers, and production reports.
- Assist with tracking workload, production capacity, and resource utilization across departments.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, planners, and operations leaders to communicate job status and scheduling concerns.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with production teams and manufacturing personnel.
- A problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn.
