About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support manufacturing engineering activities through process documentation, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role connects engineering design with manufacturing execution. You will work alongside Manufacturing, Production, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance teams to contribute to practical solutions that enhance operational performance.
What you'll do#
- Assist with documenting manufacturing methods and reviewing production documentation for accuracy.
- Support Epicor ERP infrastructure by creating and updating parts, part revisions, and BOM materials.
- Use CAD and technical drafting skills to create and update production-ready drawings.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies in production operations.
- Present project accomplishments and business impact to operations leadership at the end of the term.
- Collaborate with frontline operators and engineers to resolve daily manufacturing challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, or technical processes.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create technical engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using 3D parametric CAD software is preferred.
