About the role#
Advanced Space is seeking a Software Engineering Summer Intern for 2027 to join our team in Westminster, Colorado. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop software solutions that support real aerospace missions. This role provides hands-on experience with spacecraft software, engineering tools, and mission operations.
What you'll do#
- Support software development projects focused on aerospace missions.
- Contribute to onboard spacecraft software and machine learning applications.
- Develop 3D visualization tools and testing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges.
- Present project results through technical reports and discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Programming experience in Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with Bash and Linux-based operating systems.
- Understanding of basic software development processes and workflows.
- Eagerness to learn and apply software to aerospace challenges.

- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $26 to $35 per hour, plus a housing stipend.
