About the role#
This is a full-time, 10-week internship program based in Springfield, Ohio. You will work 40 hours per week at a rate of $28.00 per hour, with eligibility for overtime. This role provides hands-on experience in warehouse operations and may lead to full-time opportunities after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Learn warehouse operations and collaborate with staff to understand company policies and procedures.
- Assist leadership with administrative tasks, training initiatives, and interview orientations.
- Support the Inventory Control Team and participate in Waste Walks and Seven Step Problem Solving.
- Work with your team to build subject matter knowledge and create a productive work environment.
- Prepare a formal report and presentation on a specific area of operations for ALDI executives.
- Attend team meetings and maintain professional standards by meeting objectives on time.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare materials for specific audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a group, build rapport, and maintain positive professional relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize under strict deadlines.
- Initiative, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot, cold, and freezer environments.
- Ability to stand for long periods and frequently sit, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, walk, and lift products weighing up to 45 pounds.
