    About the role#

    The Global Merchant and Network Pricing team manages merchant discount revenue, which is the largest revenue source for American Express. As an intern, you will provide analytical support for strategic merchant pricing initiatives. You will work alongside stakeholders in the Pricing and Client Management organizations on projects that impact the business.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the development of pricing approaches based on quantitative data analysis.
    • Use internal and external data, competitive intelligence, and industry research to inform pricing strategies.
    • Evaluate business cases for merchant pricing scenarios, model P&L impacts, and perform sensitivity analyses.
    • Build and maintain relationships with partners in the Client Management organization.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
    • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
    • Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office products.
    • Analytical aptitude with the ability to develop financial models and provide insights from data.
    • Experience with SAS or SQL is a plus.
    • Employment eligibility to work in the United States without company-provided visa sponsorship.
