About the role#
The Office of Undergraduate Enrollment is seeking a student assistant to provide administrative and analytical support. You will help the business team manage travel expenses, ensure policy compliance, and maintain operational efficiency. This is a part-time position requiring 10 hours of work per week. This role is open only to currently enrolled American University students.
What you'll do#
- Create, update, and maintain detailed spreadsheets to track travel expenses for recruitment activities.
- Analyze travel data to verify that all expenses align with university policies and flag discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for recruitment materials and process supply orders.
- Provide general office support, including filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Support the recruitment team in meeting operational deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a focus on detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current enrollment status as an American University student.
