About the role#
The Music Ensembles Assistant provides administrative and logistical support to the Music Ensemble Director and faculty. This part-time position requires 6 hours of work per week and is open to currently enrolled American University students who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) funds.
What you'll do#
- Assist faculty with administrative tasks and rehearsal scheduling.
- Track student attendance throughout the semester.
- Prepare materials and equipment for rehearsals and performances.
- Serve as a stage manager during rehearsals and performances.
- Manage stage set changes and return equipment to storage after sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at American University.
- A valid Federal Work Study (FWS) award.
- Ability to arrive before and stay after rehearsals and performances for setup and strike.

- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
