About the role#
The Industrial Engineering Intern will join the FabVantage 360 and Industrial Engineering team. This group focuses on operational excellence, process improvement, and data analysis for engineering and service organizations. You will work alongside engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders to improve reporting efficiency and refine business processes. This role provides hands-on experience with real-world engineering projects while building technical and analytical skills.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering and operations teams through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Analyze operational data to spot trends and suggest process improvements.
- Write and improve Python scripts to automate repetitive data tasks.
- Document business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the accuracy and efficiency of reports.
- Assist in preparing executive-level presentations and tracking project action items.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems, or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, or operations data.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with basic knowledge of GenAI tools and AI prompt engineering.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization practices and tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Databricks is a plus.
