About the role#
This is a four-month summer student position reporting to the Area Foreman. You will work alongside experienced team members in the field to support operations. The term begins in May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Maintain the housekeeping of operational sites and facilities, including cleaning and painting.
- Assist with vegetation management and site upkeep.
- Support the Field Operations team with compliance tasks, data capture, and asset management.
- Help warehouse and supply chain personnel with daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently in your second or third year of a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a high school graduate who has completed a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license and experience driving on rural roads.
- Capability to work outdoors in varying temperatures, including those exceeding 30 degrees.
- Physical ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety and an ability to adapt to process changes.
Location & details#
- Location: Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 months).
- Shift schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off (10-hour days, Monday to Thursday).
- Requirements: Must be able to live and work in the greater Dawson Creek area and travel to various field locations. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring drug and alcohol testing and a fitness-to-work test.
