About the role#
AVI Foodsystems is hiring a Student Food Service Worker at the University of Mount Union. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position with rolling start dates.
What you'll do#
- Prepare hot and cold food items.
- Store food correctly based on temperature requirements to prevent spoilage.
- Set up service stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, and utensils.
- Interact with guests in serving, retail, and dining areas.
- Follow guest service procedures, including greeting guests and making eye contact.
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment according to regulatory rules.
- Manage multiple tasks while maintaining a steady pace.
What you'll need#
- A strong work ethic.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with team members and other departments.
- Capacity to maintain professional relationships with supervisors, managers, customers, and vendor representatives.
