About the role#
AVI Foodsystems is hiring a Student Food Service Worker to join the team at McDaniel College. This is an on-site, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare hot and cold food items.
- Store food properly by monitoring temperatures and preventing spoilage.
- Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, and utensils.
- Interact with guests in dining and retail areas using proper service procedures.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations according to safety rules.
- Manage multiple tasks while maintaining a steady pace.
What you'll need#
- A strong work ethic.
- Professional communication skills when working with team members, supervisors, and customers.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with staff, vendors, and clients.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
