About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op, you will work within our production operations to support complex mechanical and electrical systems. This role focuses on maintaining efficient manufacturing processes and provides an environment for students to apply their engineering knowledge to real manufacturing solutions.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing systems related to assembly, module build, and testing of complex mechanical and electrical operations.
- Design and build fixturing to assist in product assembly.
- Develop and revise build procedures for modules and subassemblies.
- Optimize manufacturing cell quality and productivity by implementing lean principles.
- Perform root cause analyses for quality defects and implement corrective actions.
- Correct BOMs and documentation to ensure design intent and product function.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience with engineering software such as Solidworks, Creo, or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment including calipers, hand tools, and DMMs.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Beverly, Massachusetts.
- The term runs from July 6, 2026, to December 18, 2026.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
- A $1,000 travel stipend is provided as a lump sum in the first paycheck.
