About the role#
Ayres Associates is seeking a student for a Summer 2026 internship or co-op position in Green Bay. This role involves a mix of office and field work to support our municipal team. You will gain experience in civil engineering projects while working with our staff on local infrastructure.
What you'll do#
Your time will be split between construction inspection and design support. Field duties include inspecting water mains, sanitary and storm sewers, and roadway or pavement projects. You may also assist with construction staking. When working in the office, you will help with design projects and plan production. Specific tasks include Civil 3D design, drafting plan details, calculating quantities, and developing spreadsheets. This position may require overtime and occasional travel within 60 miles of the office.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for civil engineering, construction management, civil engineering technology, or a related field.
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Reliable transportation to reach the office and various project sites.
- Coursework or experience in municipal roadway construction, underground utilities, or Civil 3D is helpful.
- Strong communication skills.
