About the role#
The Assistant Director for Well-being Initiatives supports the planning, implementation, and assessment of programs that promote student wellness at Baylor University. You will focus on building a campus culture of holistic well-being through educational outreach and student engagement.
What you'll do#
- Develop and coordinate wellness programs, workshops, and events for the student body.
- Support the Peer Health Educators and Well-Being Ambassador program by handling training, communication, and scheduling.
- Create and distribute educational materials covering mental health, substance use prevention, and stress management.
- Manage communication channels including email, group chats, and social media to share resources with students.
- Collect and analyze participation data to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with campus partners to increase student engagement.
- Provide administrative support through scheduling, record keeping, and report preparation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Public Health graduate program at Baylor.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in student development and wellness education.
- Experience in event planning, peer education, or student leadership is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: McLane Student Life Center 206, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $16 per hour.
