About the role#
Baylor University is hiring two Graduate Assistants for the Tutoring Center within the Center for Academic Success and Engagement. This position supports the daily operations of the center and requires a consistent weekly time commitment. You will work on-site in the Sid Richardson Building.
What you'll do#
- Supervise tutors and manage weekly check-in and check-out processes.
- Plan and organize professional development events each semester.
- Conduct research and analyze data using platforms like Canvas, Navigate, and Ignite.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including timesheet collection and phone or email inquiries.
- Host information tables at campus orientation and events.
- Lead tutor team meetings and facilitate group activities like Tutor of the Month.
- Co-author reports, spreadsheets, and forms with your supervisor.
- Manage social media accounts and update marketing materials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate degree program.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Previous experience in leadership roles or working with student staff.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
- Majors preferred include Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, Human Resources, and Sociology.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: Minimum 15 hours per week, with a preference for 20 hours.
- Term: Rolling employment.
