About the role#
This student position provides technical support to students, faculty, and staff at HelpDesk+ in Moody Library. You will handle daily business operations and assist with departmental goals while maintaining a regular work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Receive and release computers for service.
- Respond to inquiries about computer hardware, software, printers, and wireless networks.
- Diagnose and fix technical problems with systems and applications.
- Install and configure software.
- Train users on available technology resources.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for technology equipment.
- Complete inventory, send emails, and maintain equipment.
- Provide customer service and assist with various business operations projects.
What you'll need#
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
- Commitment to maintaining security and confidentiality of sensitive data.
- Ability to follow University policies.
- Reliable attendance.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Business Administration, or Communications.
Location & details#
- Location: Moody Library, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Hours: Monday-Friday (7:30 am to 7:00 pm) and Saturday-Sunday (1:00 pm to 7:00 pm).
- Term: Fall 2026 with rolling employment.
