    About the role#

    The IT Help Desk Consultant provides support to the Baylor Law School community. You will assist students, faculty, and staff with their technical needs, manage office tasks, and ensure that IT equipment remains functional. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to customer service.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide general office assistance and greet visitors.
    • Troubleshoot common IT problems and answer inquiries from the Law School community.
    • Monitor and maintain printers, including resolving paper jams and checking ink levels.
    • Set up and take down portable audio and video systems for events and classes.
    • Maintain lab cleanliness and manage supplies like toner and paper.
    • Update the IT Help Desk log with resolved issues and completed tasks.
    • Handle special projects as assigned by the IT Director.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or law student at Baylor University.
    • Technical aptitude and familiarity with common IT equipment and software.
    • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
    • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Sheila and Walter Umphrey Law Center, 2nd Floor of Law Library, Waco, Texas.
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Flexible shifts are available between 7am and 10pm, with Sunday hours from 11am to 10pm.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
