About the role#
The Honors Residential College is looking for an Office Assistant to provide administrative support for the community. You will act as a resource for residents, visitors, and staff while helping maintain a secure living environment. This role involves balancing general office duties with front-desk responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and provide helpful customer service.
- Monitor door security and report issues to the hall staff.
- Assist residents with room access and equipment check-outs.
- Maintain accurate logs for maintenance issues, unlock codes, and office records.
- Support residents by helping them communicate concerns to the residence hall team.
- Handle general administrative tasks like filing, data entry, and organizing office supplies.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in typing and the ability to learn front desk computer programs.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with a diverse population.
- Reliability in completing administrative tasks as requested.
- Sound judgment when responding to resident needs or urgent situations.

- Location: Honors Residential College, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 5 and 20 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends.
- This is an on-site, paid student position.
