About the role#
Baylor University is hiring Athletics Tutors for the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence. You will help student-athletes with their coursework and exam preparation. Sessions occur in-person, either one-on-one or in small groups of two. This position pays $10.00 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Assist students in your assigned academic subjects.
- Prepare for and lead tutoring sessions.
- Identify student educational needs and provide support.
- Complete required training and submit session reports.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and confidential environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to constituents.
- Uphold academic honesty and follow university policies.
What you'll need#
- A cumulative or major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- You must have earned a B or higher in the courses you tutor.
- Availability for a minimum of 4 hours per week, including at least one consistent weeknight.
- Majors in Psychology, Communications, or Kinesiology are preferred.

- Location: Simpson Athletic Complex, Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
