    About the role#

    Baylor Experience and Admissions Representatives (BEARs) serve as representatives for Baylor University. You will work with the Undergraduate Admissions team at the Hurd Welcome Center to share your personal experience with prospective students, parents, and university guests. This role focuses on student recruitment and providing service that reflects the character of the university.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform business operations duties for your assigned area.
    • Provide customer service to guests and visitors.
    • Assist with projects and tasks related to business operations.
    • Lead 90-minute walking tours of campus.
    • Operate a golf cart shuttle after receiving required approval.
    • Help with the setup and teardown of recruitment events.
    • Stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a full-time student at Baylor University, taking at least 12 credit hours.
    • Ability to work at least 8 hours per week.
    • Commitment to attend 5 weekend events per semester.
    • Attendance at all mandatory training sessions and staff meetings.
    • Professionalism in appearance and interactions with guests and co-workers.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
    • Adherence to university policies and consistent attendance.

    • Location: Mark and Paula Hurd Center, Waco, Texas.
    • Start dates: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026.
    • Compensation: $10.00 per hour.
    • Work modality: On-site.
