    About the role#

    Baylor University is hiring a Student Worker to teach string instruments through the String Project. You will work with children in grades 4-12, providing individual private lessons or co-teaching group sessions for violin, viola, cello, and bass. This role allows you to apply instructional methods from your degree coursework in a practical setting.

    What you'll do#

    • Teach string instrument lessons to students in grades 4-12.
    • Apply instructional techniques learned in your music degree.
    • Identify student educational needs and provide support.
    • Assist students with specific academic subjects as needed.
    • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
    • Provide customer service to constituents while ensuring the confidentiality of all information.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a string music education or string performance major.
    • Ability to follow all University policies.
    • Consistent and punctual attendance.
    • Commitment to fostering educational growth.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Waco Hall East, Room GL 29, Waco, Texas.
    • Schedule: Flexible, 2-5 hours per week.
    • Term: Ongoing through Fall and Spring semesters.
    • Pay: $30 per hour.
