About the role#
Baylor University is hiring a Cyber Security Summer Camp Counselor to support our upcoming summer program. You will serve as a primary caregiver and instructor, helping campers develop their cybersecurity skills while ensuring a positive and safe environment. This role involves planning, coordinating, and teaching camp activities while acting as a role model for participants.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the supervision and organization of campers to meet program goals.
- Participate in the development and implementation of activities aligned with the camp mission.
- Lead and assist with teaching cybersecurity labs and competitions.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety for all staff and campers.
- Monitor equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and report any needed repairs.
- Provide daily care and respond to the personal health needs of campers.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age or a high school graduate.
- Ability to interact effectively with all age levels.
- Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in cybersecurity or related program areas.
- Physical ability to supervise groups, enforce safety regulations, and respond to emergency situations.
- Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds.

- Location: BRIC - Cyber Range, 100 Research Parkway, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Schedule: June 15, 2026 to June 26, 2026. Hours are 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Compensation: $17 per hour.
- Work Modality: On-site.
