About the role#
This position supports the Campus Living and Learning department during the summer months. You will serve as the first point of contact for residents and guests at the North Village residence halls. The role focuses on maintaining building security and fostering a welcoming environment for students.
What you'll do#
- Monitor building entry and exit points to ensure resident safety.
- Report suspicious behavior and assist with emergency procedures.
- Manage front desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, lockouts, and package handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Greet residents and guests, answer questions, and build positive relationships within the hall.
What you'll need#
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Attention to detail and a sense of responsibility regarding security protocols.
- Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred.
- Current enrollment as a student, ideally in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Waco, Texas, at the North Village Texana House or University House.
- The term runs from May 17 through August 17, 2026.
- You can expect to work between 10 and 40 hours per week.
- This is a paid, part-time student worker role.
