About the role#
This summer position supports the Campus Living and Learning department at North Village. You will serve as the first point of contact for residents and guests, helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment in the residence hall.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the front desk, including fire and door alarm panels, to ensure building security.
- Report suspicious behavior and assist emergency responders when necessary.
- Handle daily administrative tasks such as managing packages, checking out resources, and overseeing lost and found items.
- Assist residents with lockouts and the check-in process.
- Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
- Greet residents as they enter the building, learn their names, and engage them in conversation to build a friendly community.
What you'll need#
- Ability to maintain a professional and observant presence at the front desk.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Reliability in following safety protocols and reporting policy violations.
- Enrollment as a student, with a preference for majors in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Psychology.
Location & details#
- Location: North Village, Waco, Texas.
- Term: May 17 to August 17, 2026.
- Schedule: 10 to 40 hours per week.
- Pay: $8 per hour.
