About the role#
This is a student worker position supporting the off-campus community service department. You will work directly with the Director of Development to organize and run events and fundraisers for Habitat for Humanity. The role requires 20 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. You must be eligible for Federal Work-Study to qualify.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute event logistics, including decor, color selection, and buffet food service.
- Manage auction items for specific events.
- Handle guest communications and outreach.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for upcoming events.
- Coordinate operations on the day of the event.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Constant Contact.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.

- This is an on-site position located at 220 N. 11th Street in Waco, Texas.
- Reliable transportation is necessary for this off-campus role.
- Employment terms include Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
