About the role#
Baylor University is hiring students for the Transformation Waco STEAM Center. You will work with the STEAM education and outreach team to inspire students through hands-on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. This role is open to students in Mathematics, Psychology, Communications, Public Health, and Environmental Engineering. The position is on-site in Waco, Texas, for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Inspire students through hands-on learning activities.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services and programs.
- Serve as a representative of the University to provide excellent customer service.
- Work with external community service partners to support local projects.
- Prepare and present information in group or workshop settings.
- Maintain good relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Mentor fellow tutors if you are selected for the Lead Tutor role.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of and interest in STEAM education.
- Strong communication skills to interact with the community.
- Ability to plan and organize community service tasks.
- Commitment to following University policies and maintaining regular attendance.
