About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will work alongside experienced team members to gain hands-on experience in the audit practice. This role focuses on applying your academic background to real-world client engagements while building professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a structured training program to learn Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Assist with various stages of the audit process using firm-specific methodology.
- Communicate with clients, creditors, banks, and related parties regarding audit issues.
- Prepare and document work in working papers using internal tools and templates.
- Complete one assigned research project related to accounting or audit and present your findings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions.
