About the role#
This paid, full-time internship is a 10-12 week assignment during the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at our production facility in Amsterdam, New York, gaining hands-on experience in food safety and quality assurance. This role is designed to support your professional development through project work, corporate meetings, and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support food safety research projects focused on heavy metals in root vegetables and phytonutrients in produce.
- Assess soil amendments for root vegetables.
- Update our food safety plan by reviewing current literature and Federal and State regulations.
- Assist with product testing, data analytics, and new product innovation.
- Participate in roundtable discussions and corporate meetings to interact with various departments.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, or Public Health.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Above average skills in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Authorization to work in the United States for the full duration of the internship.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site at our LEED certified production facility in Amsterdam, New York.
- You will work in an office environment and in production areas where specific safety gear is required, including hairnets, beard covers, safety glasses, hearing protection, and lab coats. Certain restrictions on jewelry and nail polish apply in these areas.
