About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking an Audit Intern for the Spring 2028 term in Atlanta. This internship provides experience similar to that of a first-year staff member. You will work across various industries, assist in preparing financial statements, and interact with clients under the direction of Seniors and Managers.
What you'll do#
- Plan and perform operational and financial audits to ensure financial statements align with GAAP.
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
- Document working papers clearly and accurately.
- Review data related to assets, liabilities, net worth, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.
- Develop an understanding of the firm's audit approach and apply it to assigned sections.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week.
