About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking candidates for a Spring 2028 Audit internship in Denver, Colorado. This role provides experience similar to that of a first-year staff member. You will work across various industries, assist with financial reporting engagement procedures, and prepare financial statements. You will also interact with clients under the direction of Seniors and Managers.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and theory.
- Develop an understanding of the firm's audit approach and apply it to assigned sections.
- Document working papers clearly and adequately.
- Review data related to material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.
- Develop and perform analytical procedures on account balances.
- Research technical issues and work with firm leadership to provide quality client service.
What you'll need#
- Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
