About the role#
This internship provides students with hands-on experience in mechanical installations for hospitals, hotels, and institutional facilities. You will work alongside project teams to support estimating and business operations while gaining exposure to the utility system construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Create a master checklist of goals to guide your internship and track your progress.
- Assist departments with project tasks, including estimating and daily business operations.
- Collect information to create and update files, documents, spreadsheets, databases, reports, and schedules.
- Attend departmental and jobsite meetings to learn about project workflows.
- Perform tasks under the supervision of project managers or departmental staff.
- Participate in company learning experiences such as jobsite tours and safety inspections.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related business major.
- Reliable transportation to get to work daily.
- Ability to work independently on tasks with daily supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to manage multiple ongoing projects.
