About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Oakville, Ontario, providing administrative support to business groups. This role focuses on operational tasks, record management, and assisting with departmental projects while applying the BMO Risk Management Framework.
What you'll do#
- Perform general office support, including filing, copying, and organizing business records.
- Create and maintain databases and manage office supply inventory.
- Process department budget invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare funding approval requests for projects.
- Assist with work orders for equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Schedule meetings, coordinate catering and audio-visual setups, and book travel arrangements.
- Manage central phone lines and respond to inquiries.
- Support the creation of communication materials such as presentations and agendas.
- Update departmental procedures and verify staff timesheets.
- Coordinate office space changes with internal units and external vendors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with the intent to return to studies.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- A certificate in Office Administration is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of office procedures and equipment like printers and photocopiers.
- Familiarity with audio-visual equipment.
- Basic skills in verbal and written communication, organization, and team collaboration.
