    About the role#

    As an Accounting Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the financial operations of the railway industry. This role immerses you in a range of activities including financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. You will receive mentorship from industry professionals and contribute to strategic projects to build your skills in financial management and problem solving.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform internal and external financial reporting and account reconciliations.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial insights for operating and corporate departments.
    • Develop processes and models to track and predict expenses.
    • Manage the end-to-end process for freight-related charges.
    • Use analytical tools to dissect data and uncover operational trends.
    • Contribute to process enhancements and system updates.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
    • Maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States and at least eighteen years old upon hire.
    • Less than three years of professional work experience, excluding internships or part-time jobs.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid internship located in Fort Worth, Texas.
    • The term is for Summer 2027.
    • This role operates on a hybrid schedule, with one day per week remote.
    • Relocation is required if you live more than 50 miles from the work location.
