About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Nashville office for the Summer 2027 term. This role offers hands-on experience in land development and site design. You will work alongside engineers and project managers to understand the development process from initial concept to construction.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create concept, grading, stormwater management, utility, and soil erosion plans.
- Collaborate with the project team to coordinate tasks and drive project progress.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process in practice.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving.
