About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Tampa office. This role offers exposure to the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering firm. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers to support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Learn the stages of the land development and site design process from concept to construction.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create concept, grading, stormwater management, utility, and soil erosion plans.
- Collaborate with the project team to coordinate and drive development projects.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process.
- Participate in team meetings to contribute ideas to design and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biomedical, or Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, though training is provided for those not yet proficient.
- Curiosity and a motivation to learn.
