About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Albany, New York office for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on active land development projects and gain insight into the full site development process from concept to construction. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create concept, grading, stormwater management, utility, and erosion control plans.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to coordinate and drive projects forward.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving.
