    About the role#

    Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania office during the Summer 2027 term. This position offers exposure to the full land development process, from initial concept to construction. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers to support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm.
    • Learn the various stages of the land development and site design process.
    • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design concept, grading, stormwater management, utility, and soil erosion plans.
    • Collaborate with team members to coordinate and drive projects forward.
    • Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
    • Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process in action.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • A self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, though training is provided.
    • An interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving.
