About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Permitting Intern for the Summer 2027 term in our Melville, New York office. You will work alongside permitting, design, and project professionals to support active land development projects. This role provides an opportunity to learn how documentation, agency reviews, and project communication function throughout the approval process.
What you'll do#
- Learn the stages of the permitting process and how applications progress through jurisdictional review.
- Assist with organizing permit applications, fee information, signatures, and plan sets.
- Track application status, deadlines, agency comments, and project milestones.
- Research jurisdictional filing requirements with guidance from the team.
- Maintain organized agency information and project records.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree program in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
