About the role#
The R&D Engineering Co-op program introduces students to the methods and concepts of medical device development within interventional cardiology. You will work directly with the Research Engineering Team on prototype development, characterization methods, and technology research. This role provides hands-on experience in a regulated environment, focusing on the design and testing of medical devices.
What you'll do#
- Support the principal engineer on active projects.
- Complete assigned research tasks and projects.
- Build test fixtures for development and verification.
- Execute tests and collect data.
- Prepare technical reports, manuscripts, abstracts, and posters.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate study.
- Experience with mechanical or electrical lab testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September through December).
- Format: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
