About the role#
This internship program runs for 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at our food manufacturing plant in Raeford, North Carolina. The program focuses on professional development and provides assignments that align with your interests in the processing and manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Learn the details of food production operations.
- Work with our team to improve and optimize processes.
- Support quality assurance and food safety standards.
- Build leadership skills by mentoring and guiding our first-line employees.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Agri-Business, Animal Science, Food Science, Meat Science, Ag Leadership, or a related field.
- Your expected graduation date is between December 2027 and June 2029.
- You have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- You show active participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus involvement.
- Previous work experience of any kind is preferred.
- You must be able to work in a plant environment that includes cold, wet, or warm areas, and wear required personal protective equipment.
- You can perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
