About the role#
As a Student Team Lead for Dining Services, you will assist in the daily operations of our food service unit. You will oversee team tasks, manage schedules, and guide staff on job duties. This role requires a balance of technical skill and the ability to work well with others. You will report to a supervisor and provide regular updates on work status and task completion.
What you'll do#
- Assign daily work tasks to team members and oversee their completion.
- Train and guide staff on job duties, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes.
- Store food properly according to safety policies.
- Serve customers and ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating their needs.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize work stations.
- Replenish food items and maintain stock levels.
What you'll need#
- At least 6 months of related work experience.
- Previous experience in food service.
- A current food safety certification.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Completion of required training programs and the ability to demonstrate job competencies.
- Enrollment as a student in Business Administration.
