About the role#
As a Student Team Lead at the ENV Cafe, you will assist with the daily operations of dining services. You will oversee tasks, delegate responsibilities, and guide team members to ensure the cafe runs smoothly. This role is ideal for students in Business Administration who want to gain leadership experience while working on campus.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily work assignments for the team and oversee task completion.
- Assist with staff training and provide guidance on job duties, food safety, and customer service.
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Handle inventory, stocking, and general office tasks.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize work stations.
- Serve customers and maintain a positive environment.
- Assist with schedules and special projects.
- Communicate work status updates to your supervisor.
- Perform custodial, grounds, or cashier duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- At least 6 months of job-related experience.
- Previous food service experience is required.
- A valid food safety certification.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to set an example for others by following policies and procedures.
- Completion of required training programs and demonstrated competency in assigned duties.
