About the role#
WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, is hiring a Creative Services intern for the summer of 2026. This department manages the branding and promotional development of the station. You will work on-site to learn how a television Creative Services team functions in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Draft topical copy for WMUR and for Chronicle, the nightly newsmagazine show.
- Observe live newscasts and editing sessions.
- Assist with the production of promotional and commercial shoots, both in-house and on location.
- Learn the fundamentals of writing and producing effective news topical promotions.
- Gain an understanding of the station's commitment to the community through PSA production.
- Explore broadcast and digital marketing strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Communications, Journalism, or Marketing.
- A desire to apply your writing and communication skills in a professional setting.
- Interest in learning how a television Creative Services department operates.
