About the role#
This is a year-round, paid internship based in Milwaukee. You will work 15 to 20 hours per week during the academic year and move to full-time status during the summer. The program begins in January 2027 and covers the Winter, Summer, and Fall terms of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support to operations by spending time on the production floor to learn processes and assist with troubleshooting.
- Lead or participate in process improvement teams.
- Investigate and evaluate operational challenges to develop project estimates.
- Design solutions for building-wide challenges using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with occasional 3D printing.
- Manage process data collection and analysis to track project progress.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Engineering or a related field.
- Current status of at least a Sophomore level with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and succeed in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- AutoCAD experience is preferred.
